Columbia Professor Says He Does Heroin for ‘Work-Life Balance’ in New Book
Carl Hart, a professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at the prestigious Columbia University in New York City, recently released a book where he reflects on his use of heroin and other drugs.
It’s hard to imagine Columbia parents would be excited to learn that their hard-earned dollars were going to a University that employs professors that openly speak positively about heroin use.
However that’s what is happening at Columbia University with Carl Hart, the Ziff Professor and former Department of Psychology Chair.
Hart has admitted to “micro-dosing” heroin for as many as 10 days in a row.
In his new book “Drug Use for Grown-ups: Chasing Liberty in the Land of Fear”, he writes “There aren’t many things in life that I enjoy more than a few lines by the fireplace at the end of the day”. As he has explained though, he performs this action for “work-life balance” and uses it similarly to how he utilizes sex, the arts, and vacations.
Other extracurricular activities Hart allegedly enjoys include the use of MDMA (or extasy/Molly) and even Amphetamines (such as meth, Adderall, and Ritalin).
Unfortunately, neither Hart nor Columbia University were able to comment on the bizarre statements made by Hart in his latest book.
A total of 49,860 Americans died from opioid overdose in 2019 alone.
Hart was the first tenured African American professor of sciences at Columbia University.
