Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters Slams Facebook: ‘No F***ing Way’ Zuckerberg can use our song for ad

Roger Waters recently revealed that he turned down a lot of money offered by Facebook to use a famous song in an Instagram ad.

Mark Zuckerberg may be able to spend millions of dollars on questionable election efforts, but he cannot buy off Pink Floyd and Roger Waters.

“Roger Waters, a founding member of the British rock band Pink Floyd, revealed at a press event last week that he had turned down a ‘huge, huge amount of money’ from Facebook for permission to use one of its songs in an Instagram advertisement,” The Hill reported.

Waters announced his denial of the Big Tech CEO and company at an event in support of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Waters accused Zuckerberg of stopping Assange’s story from getting out into the public, though it’s not clear exactly what he meant.

“He specifically took aim at Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, referencing Facebook's predecessor ‘FaceMash,’ which Zuckerberg had created to rate the physical appearance of women on Harvard's campus,” The Hill said.
