REPORT: FBI Counterterrorism Unit Tracks ‘Threats’ Against School Boards and Officials

Attorney General Merrick Garland ordered the FBI to keep a close eye on parents who came to school board meetings to oppose mask mandates and critical race theory.

An FBI whistleblower has exposed how the agency tracks targets after Attorney General Merrick Garland ordered closer surveillance of parents.

“The Federal Bureau of Investigation has created a ‘threat tag’ to aid in tracking alleged threats against school board officials, teachers and staff, as part of its implementation of a controversial memo issued by Attorney General Merrick Garland last month citing a nationwide increase in harassment of education officials,” Fox News reported.

AG Garland, once considered a moderate federal judge, defended the memo, which came after coordination from a national school board group and the White House.

"The memo is only about violence and threats of violence. It makes absolutely clear in the first paragraph that spirited debate about policy matters is protected under our Constitution. That includes debate by parents criticizing school boards. That is welcome. The Justice Department protects that kind of debate,” Garland previously said.

Does Garland need to resign? Should the ACLU file a lawsuit against this program? Let us know below!
