Biden’s Surgeon General urges Big Tech to censor Joe Rogan podcast

Big Tech “has an important role to play,” according to Surgeon General Vivek Murthy said while advocating for Big Tech to crack down on so-called “misinformation.”

President Joe Biden’s leftist Surgeon General Vivek Murthy used an MSNBC appearance to ask Big Tech companies to censor Joe Rogan.

Rogan has made comments skeptical of COVID vaccines. While the vaccines are generally considered safe and effective, a free country does not allow public officials to silence people engaging in rational discussion.

WATCH:

Murthy’s comments raise First Amendment questions — generally, the government cannot get around the Constitution and other federal laws by outsourcing dirty work to private companies. For example, the federal government cannot hire private investigators to gather evidence in a criminal case just to avoid the Fourth Amendment.

Murthy is no stranger to using his position to push a far-left political agenda outside of the bounds of his role as a public health official.

While working in the same role under President Barack Obama, Murthy did the bidding of anti-gun activists by trying to declare gun violence to be a “public health” issue.

Conservative leaders weighed in on Murthy’s disturbing comments, ACT for America founder Brigitte Gabriel pointed out that Murthy’s comments are an attack on free speech.

Should Murthy resign for his anti-American comments? Do you think Joe Rogan needs to sue Murthy if he is kicked off tech platforms? Let us know below!
