Taliban fighters stage photo mocking iconic US WW2 Iwo Jima flag raising photo
A newly released Taliban photo shows members of one of the radical Islamic group’s units recreating the iconic photo capturing US Marines raising the American flag after their victory on Iwo Jima.
The staged photo is the most recent slap in the face from the radical Islamic militants who have completely seized control of Afghanistan due to the withdrawal of US forces.
“This is Joe Biden’s legacy for all the world to see,” tweeted New York Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik.
Reports from the ground in Afghanistan have shown the Taliban fighters sporting equipment from the United States.
A Taliban propaganda video also shows members of the elite team in the gear.
Organizations like ACT for America have started campaigns to fire General Milley and Secretary Blinken for the botching of the Afghanistan withdrawal.
