Grammys TV Ratings Hit Record Low, Down Over 50% From 2020

The 63rd annual Grammy Awards show took place Sunday night hosted by Comedy Central Host Trevor Noah however the program drew a meager audience compared to years past.

The awards show featured artists like the dress wearing Harry Styles, and vocal Biden supporter Taylor Swift.

In addition Dua Lipa, BTS, Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Megen Thee Stallion among other performed throughout the night.

Unfortunately for those artists, 2021’s telecast was the lowest-rated in Grammys history in the early numbers.

According to Nielsen’s Live+Same Day numbers, The Grammy’s delivered an average of 8.8 million viewers for the network during the broadcast with a 2.1 rating in the key, adults ages 18-49 demographic.

In contrast, the national charts for 2020’s Grammy Awards drew a 5.4 rating in the key demo and 18.7 million viewers.

The 2019 Grammy Awards drew a 5.6 rating and 19.9 million viewers.

The former least-watched Grammys was the host-less awards ceremony in 2006, which snagged 17 million viewers.

New York Times Best-Selling Author Brigitte Gabriel mocked the Grammys and host Trevor Noah for the poor ratings.

Several conservatives have pointed to the music industry’s love affair with woke culture and political correctness as the reason for the low ratings. Other critics have pointed to the shifting ways consumers are watching content.

Do you believe the Grammys low ratings are a response to their SJW actions over the last few years? Do you think it was a fluke? Comment your thoughts below!
